Kaleidoscope Trust: Layered Identities

The Kaleidoscope Trust is a charity based in the UK existing to fight for and uphold the human rights of LGBT+ people across the Commonwealth and beyond.

In their own words, LGBT+ rights activists from around the world, share what intersectionality means to them, looking at what it means to recognise the multiple aspects of someone’s identity, and how they overlap and intersect within themselves.

Thank you to all of the inspiring activists we spoke to from Mauritius, Namibia, Pakistan, Saint Lucia, Sri Lanka and the UK. It was a privilege to create this film with you.

Also a huge amount of love for the oh-so-talented artists May Kindred-Boothby, Temujen Gunawardena and Saffron Cann who created such incredible visuals.

An absolute pleasure and joy to have partnered with Woven Ink to bring such a special project to life. Isolde and Jess truly went above and beyond to make sure that these personal stories were sensitively told, creating an animation that is both a powerful tool for learning and a feast for the senses. Their craft and enthusiasm - and the skills of the artists they work with - is unparalleled. Thank you!
