Small Cat Rescue Workshop

Small Cat Rescue Workshop

We were delighted to be asked to capture the discussions during the first national Small Cat Rescue Workshop, hosted and organsied by Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in collaboration with RSPCA, Cats Protection, International Cat Care, SNIP (The Society for the Neutering of Islington’s Pussies) and Cat Action Trust 1977 Leeds.

The day was designed to begin to bridge gaps between the larger and smaller cat rescue centres across the country, to be in community with one another, and to work on ways to support each other moving forward.

Visual Minutes by Jess Harvey & Isolde Godfrey

Battersea commissioned Woven Ink to deliver visual minutes of the first ever national workshop of small cat rescue organisations in the UK. Jess and Isolde created a beautiful piece that captured our wide-ranging, rich and dense discussions in a comprehensive and engaging way. Participants and everyone in the companion animal welfare sector that we have shared the minutes with have been in awe of the creativity and talent showcased by the work. Many people in our sector had never come across visual minutes before and are now considering incorporating them in their work going forward. Jess and Isolde were wonderful to work with – they were incredibly professional and personable and showed a genuine interest in the content of the conversations on the day.
