The Art of Mental Stealth - A Comic Approach
Hosted and organsied by Joanna Lockwood - mental health researcher at the University of Nottingham; the day brought together artists, graphic novelists, young people, educators, and mental health and comics scholars from in and around Nottingham, to talk about the role of comics/graphic novels/zines in adolescent mental health.
The day was comprised of a series of 5 minute flash talks - which we visually captured - rich discussions about how visual stories can explore and communicate mental health experiences, opportunities to view exhibitions of artists’ work, and conversations about next steps and future collaborations.
