The Arts Forum: Presenting Contemporary Voices and Creative Arts from Africa

The partnership event held by the Royal African Society and British Council, was aimed at increasing networks and sharing knowledge, expertise and connections between artists in the UK and African countries.

Attending the event were artists and cultural managers working and living in sub Saharan Africa, as well as UK curators and programmers currently engaged or looking to engage with contemporary African creative arts.

People and organisations representing a wide range of art forms - including literature, film, performance, visual arts, design, fashion, and architecture - were invited to discuss and share their experiences of presenting contemporary African art to UK and international audiences.

Visual Minutes created by Beatrice Baumgartner-Cohen, Isolde Godfrey & Jess Harvey.

Woven Ink are dedicated, creative and thorough in their approach.

They took the time to explore the themes of our event in detail, and helped us to think through exactly what we wanted from capturing visual minutes of the conversations.

It was a pleasure to work with them and we cannot recommend them highly enough!
