The Struggles of Living with Tourette Syndrome

The Struggles of Living with Tourette Syndrome

This animation - sharing the real voices and experiences of people living with tics and Tourette Syndrome - aims to raise awareness around the current challenges in accessing healthcare and support in the UK.

Commissioned by researchers from the University of Nottingham, we worked together with the research team, charity Tourettes Action, clinical experts, and those with lived experience of TS, to help campaign for better services and NICE guidelines for Tourette Syndrome.

You can find out more about the research and campaign here.

Woven Ink have been fantastic to work with. We to co-designed an animation featuring the voices of people with Tourette Syndrome and their struggles accessing healthcare for their condition in the UK. Throughout, Jess and Isolde focused on the importance of accurately representing the journeys of the lived experience participants. They worked closely with us and a group of lived experience experts and advocates to iteratively develop the animation, ensuring all parties were involved in shared decision-making throughout.

We are all so happy with the finished product as it really reflects the voices of those who took part and the messages we wanted to convey, and the response we’ve had from the public, including those with their own lived experience, goes to show how skilled Woven Ink have been in creating this animation. We can’t recommend them highly enough!
